Too Old to Start Training?

First of all, here are some important questions to consider:

  1. Are you too young to be living with aches and pains? Perhaps your back, neck, or knees from a sedentary job?

  2. Are you in a position where if you don’t change anything, given 10 or 20, you are going to physically struggle to do what you enjoy doing now?

INACTION because of being “too old”, “too unfit”, busy, or not knowing where to start is where the real danger lies.

You will wake up one day and all of a sudden you will struggle to go through your day pain free, or with a constant lack of energy, or with an additional 5 to 10 to 20 kilos, or a combination of the three.

This happens very gradually and over a long period of time but ignoring it, isn’t going to make it go away.

  1. We can start with nutrition coaching that you can do without coming into the gym to train if that will make you feel more comfortable. Seeking accountability and support around nutrition can be the first ACTION that you take.

  2. We can start with personal training if giving the reigns over to a coach will be the first ACTION that you take.

  3. We can start with group training which is coach led every step of the way and also ads an amazing social aspect. Signing up for group training can be the first ACTION that you take.

The point is, we can start and help you take ACTION in many different ways, and you don’t have to do it alone. You don’t even have to do any of the thinking. You just have to show up and take it one step at a time with our support.

Age wise, this is what it looks like inside of our walls:

  • Our oldest member is 64 and started CrossFit at 63.

  • We have several people in their 20’s but the majority are in their 30’s and 40’s.

  • Our youngest member is 16.

It literally does not matter! Everyone is doing their own workout with their own modifications. Everyone is trying to improve their own life. It’s just easier when we do it all together rather than trying to go it alone.
